President Buhari condemns the Orlando terrorist attack

President Buhari has reacted to the Orlando Nightclub shoot where a gunman killed 50 people and wounded 53 more in a massacre that has since been termed a terrorist attack. In a letter to the Ambassador of the United States in Nigeria, James Entwistle, and signed by the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, Buhari conveyed Nigeria’s heartfelt sympathy to President Barrack Obama and the people of United States of America.

He also assured the United States of Nigeria’s continued support and cooperation in the fight against terrorism.Part of the statement reads,

President Buhari extends his most sincere condolences to the families, relatives and friends of the victims.
The President condemns such criminal, cowardly attack, wherever it might occur, as an attack on all decent, democratic, peaceful people.
Every terrorist attack only strengthens Nigeria’s resolve to stand shoulder to shoulder with the United States and other countries in the frontline of the war on terror.
President Buhari also calls on all peace-loving nations to commit themselves whole-heartedly to multilateral cooperation and collaborative actions aimed at eradicating the scourge of international terrorism.

  2. I read some people's comments on social media concerning this shooting and I shed tears on their ignorance. Painful thing is some of us claim to be Christians and the Bible encouraged us to love our neighbours as ourselves. It didn't say love your straight neighbors. It said "your neighbors ".Where is the love that Christ preached if you can think killing gays is justifiable? These same gays were created by God. What makes u think the fornication u commit, or the lies u tell, or the hatred for others that u have is a lesser evil to being gay? Moreover Wat happens to the judge not that the Bible preaches? Wen u condemn the killings, it doesn't mean u approve of the gays lifestyle, but it means u are a stronger person to understand that freewill is one common thing God gave each of us and u can't control how others exercise theirs. But the greatest of all things is love all even your enemies and leave judgement for God.Today it's the gays, tomorrow it could be you or your loved straight ones. How would you feel if they utter such disdain u showed em? And what makes u think everyone at that gay club is gay? Some straight men/women may be hanging out with their gay friends. That's tolerance which so many myopic minds wont see.
